The Art of Sharing. The work of art is not complete until it is shared. I believe in the art of sharing. When you share your art, you give others the courage to do the same. When you are generous with your creative work, it prompts your followers to do the same thing. Enjoy! Support us and grow your business with us. My goal was to make technical information available with ready access to commonly needed resources, formulas, and reference materials while performing my work as a Technical Support Engineer. The businesses listed in Sponsored Content were carefully selected because of their uniqueness. However, non-sponsored selected ads will be rotated monthly. ViBa Direct lacks an advisory board to do research and hire writers with the latest technical knowledge. Creating an effective advisory board requires more than an invitation. Without your sponsorship, this is not possible. If your company is interested in placing the company’s logo, brand, event invitation, and other promotional banners and flyers here or on any other pages, please reach out to Customer service for more detail. You must visit the museum to appreciate it. The few photos I took and shared while visiting Cantor Arts Center in 2011 are nothing to compare to its magnificent collection. Out of all of the ones I had visited, this Stanford Museum is the best Art Museum. Check out thess local blogs from Palo Alto.
One of the best art museums I've ever visited. The buildings, galleries, and surrounding gardens not to mention the cool cafe are incredible and Stanford is like no other university I have visited. Cantor Arts Center or Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University is an art museum on the campus of Stanford University in Stanford, California. It’s the best art museum in Northern California open to the public and charges no admission. Nonessential visitors and the Stanford community are welcome to visit outdoor areas only across both campuses. Visitor parking is available in all parts of the main campus.
‹•› Location & Parking: The Cantor Arts Center is located at the intersection of Museum Way and Lomita Drive in the heart of the arts district on the Stanford campus. Cantor Arts Center Parking is at 328 Lomita Dr, Stanford, CA 94305. Parking enforcement hours for visitor and hourly parking space is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no enforcement on the weekends. Payment for visitor parking is a contactless process using the ParkMobile app, website, or phone. The museums are open Wednesday-Sunday, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Reservations are required and they are always free. A reservation is good for the entire day. Pack light, and remember that some items—including large bags, food, and drinks—are not permitted in the galleries.
‹•› The History. It first opened to the public in 1894, the Leland Stanford Jr. Museum was founded by a family with a general collection of world art on par with the major public museums at the time. It was the largest privately-owned museum in the world. For decades, Leland Stanford and his wife Jane Stanford had traveled extensively, collecting American and European Old Master paintings, as well as a wide array of antiquities from Egypt, Greece, Rome, Asia, the Americas, and other parts of the world. Today, the Stanford museum holds a large archeological and ethnological as well as art.
‹•› The Cantor Arts Center's collection houses over 38,000 items, including African Art, American Art, Ancient Art, the Andy Warhol Photography Archive, Art of Asia and Oceania, Art of the Indigenous Americas, Auguste Rodin, Eadweard Muybridge, European Art, Modern and Contemporary Art, Photographs, Prints and Drawings, Richard Diebenkorn Sketchbooks, Sculptures on Campus, and collections and memorabilia of the Stanford Family. In January 2021, the Cantor Arts Center established the Asian American Art Initiative (AAAI) with a specific focus on the study, acquisition, preservation, and exhibition of works by Asian American artists. The initiative is headed by the founding co-directors Aleesa Alexander and Marci Kwon.
‹•› A day at the magnificent art museum on a university campus. It is a fun way to spend a day with young children, this is a swell place to visit on a rainy day. It features a Rodin exhibit - The Gates of Hell outside in the courtyard is incredible. Also, beautiful works are done by Mark Rothko, Richard Serra, and Jackson Pollock. You don't have to know anything about art to appreciate "The Thinker," or anything in the sculpture garden, for that matter. Painting, sculpting, drawing, and photography are relaxing and rewarding activities that can lower your stress levels and lead to an overall improvement in well-being. Art brings more creativity, satisfaction, and happiness into our lives.
‹•› Why should children be exposed to the arts? Art is important for children, especially during their early development. Art activities develop brain capacity in early childhood. Art engages children's senses in open-ended play and supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional, and multisensory skills. Art helps develop reading skills and children do better in math and science. Art Introduces children to new vocabulary and concepts.
